•

On April 28, 2022 the Family and Community Engagement Committee met with representatives from the Instructional Technology Division and the Communications Office to learn about the plans to update the District’s website and to share their experiences (good and bad) utilizing the current website.

The current website under the domain achieve.lausd.net includes 1,500 sites and 12,000 pages and currently receives 270,000 daily visits and 1 million unique users each month. With training and support from the vendor, Affirma LLC, all of these pages will transition to new site, which is projected to go live in the summer of 2023. The new website will have a .gov domain, which was recently approved by the state. The new platform will include improved analytics which will help District better understand user behavior and make layout adjustments.

Committee members were able to present feedback after reviewing the website ahead of the committee meeting and also  provided feedback in real time during the meeting through the PollEverywhere platform.

·The committee’s final meeting of the 2021-22 school year is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, at 5 PM. To submit topic  suggestions, please visit bd3.info/topics.
